Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
It is a legal requirement that electrical equipment is safety tested on a regular basis to satisfy:
- Electricity at Work Regulations Act 1989
- Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
- Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999
- Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998
Landlords (anyone who lets residential accommodation as a business activity) are required by law to ensure that electrical equipment is safe. This is to satisfy the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 1994.
We use the latest testing and recording equipment. In addition we are fully insured and all testers have photo ID.
We are able to offer a leakage and safety testing service (measuring the radiation levels around the oven and visual inspection for damage) for both domestic and industrial microwaves.
We offer a visual inspection and provide all required tests to satisfy the IEE Code of Practice for in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment. Pass or fail labels are free, and defective or damaged plugs and fuses are replaced labour free. We include printed reports and certificates in with the price.
